Watching Us Go By

A hodgepodge of sketches that I've had sitting in random files on my computer. A couple are old--hopefully I'll be able to scan new stuff soon and post them. C: The title of the post is from a song by "Yes."

The First Post

I've created this blog to serve as my sketch depositary, and I hope at some point to transform it into an online portfolio. The blog has been called Ab Hinc, which is a Latin phrase meaning "from here on," which I thought was suitable, since this is kind of like the first step toward my preparing to show potential employers my art. So without too much ado, here are some sketches from my sketchbook to get the art things going!

These characters are two of my newest. They either don't want to be named or names just naturally don't stick to them, because it's been impossible to come up with some for them. I've gone through several variations. Fortunately, they seem quite happy with each other where they are at the moment, so right now I'm just enjoying their company and their strong emotional connection to each other. Right now, they're just my "moody New York" characters. And boy, are they moody.
